Hi! Does anyone have a cake frosting recipe that isn't too sweet, doesn't use a lot of confectioner's sugar but is stiff enough to hold some simple piping decorations? I'm looking to simply decorate a 2-3 layer 6in cake for my daughter's 1st bday cake.
Swiss meringue buttercream was suggested by a friend but given how hot it has been lately (we don't have AC!) I'm not sure if the frosting would last while decorating the cake.
