so sad.

I saw on Facebook last week. So sad.

awful.

This makes me want to cry my eyes out. That poor family. I can't IMAGINE knowing that my child never got the chance to meet her father, or that my husband never got the chance to hold his baby.

This is terrible. My Dad is a pilot and has a small airplane. He was flying alone last year and everything shut down. He was able to emergency land safely but it was a close call.

That is devastating. I feel awful for everyone involved.

@permastudent nope, but my Mom is not flying with him as much. She said if she had been with him she never would have flown in a small aircraft again. He was trained prior to all the electronic instruments in the early 70's so he is expirenced in flying an aircraft without all the high tech gadgets, but a whole generation of pilots are coming up without those skills. It's a big topic in the industry now. I was at an event at his flight club and there was a speaker who talked about safety with everything going digital.

I think DH is going to be taking a break from flying for awhile.

I'm bummed, Dad and I were going to partner on winery aerial photography this year, but now I can't/don't want to fly small aircraft.

I saw the picture they took with the baby that was just born, it was heartbreaking.
