I can't wait! I'm curious to see of it's still as good without Jenny Lee...

@jedeve: I don't think it's going to be as good, but who knows! I hope I'm pleasantly surprised.

I'm really curious how they are going to continue on with the show, they have done all the stories from the books!

@Charm54: I'm curious too! The actress that plays Jenny Lee will be in the BBC miniseries Wolf Hall now!

I always thought Jenny was sweet and all but her character was never the most compelling to me. I think it will be fine!
I love that it celebrates motherhood. It always makes me feel better about myself when I am folding laundry while watching it. And glad I have my life now!

I've already watched this season, i won't give any spoilers - will just tell you that I sobbed all through the first episode, and it really stuck with me for a long, long time. The whole season is fantastic. Its definitely my favourite thing on TV.

I love this show, but when I became pregnant I couldn't handle watching it, it scared me. Then after I had the baby I thought I would be okay watching it, and the first episode I watched after taking a break from it, a baby dies from what it appears to be SIDS. So it freaked me out again. I guess I'll have to wait until my baby is no longer an infant to watch it again. Luckily it's on Netflix.

@Mrs.Waffles: the first time I discovered the show I was preggo and watched it but did feel sort of weird at times and DH couldn't believe I was watching it. I'm not preggo again and watching it again......if anything I think watching it makes me appreciate I live in 2015! But I can see how it could make your mind go crazy..,

@Ginabean3: I know thank goodness we live in 2015! This was one of my favorite shows up until I got pregnant. My LO is over 6 months now. I think I may start catching up on Netflix. I'll repost if it freaks me out again. LOL.

*******SLIGHT SPOILER*******
ETA: man I wish there were hidden spoilers!
So, season 3, something pretty drastic happens. OMG. I was just kind of stunned after the episode I watched last night!

@ScarletBegonia: are you talking about the christmas episode or the next one? Both KILLED me, but for different reasons.
Spoiler (maybe?) they aren't writing chummy off the show are they? She's my favorite!!

Okay maybe I will try to start watching (starting with first season) again. I watched episode one but couldn't get into it... I don't watch much TV so it was hard to commit to. Sounds like I should give it another chance!

Finally watched first episode last night!
1. Is that the same old woman voice narrating at the beginning? Because I thought it was an older nurse lee but seems weird to have same narrator when she's not on the show anymore.
2. I never heard of The child migrant program. Looked it up and so sad what happened to all those children sent to Australia!
