Help! Roasting a whole chicken tonight, and was planning to put carrots/onion/potatoes in the same roasting pan and cook it all together. I do this with pot roast, but is it safe with chicken?

I've never stopped to think if it was safe or not, but I've done this many, many times with no consequences, so I would hope so!

I do, I just am extra careful to make sure the chicken is fully cooked before we start eating. It usually works out well for us.

Yes! I got a little too excited to answer this b/c we recently tried out Cook's Country's recipe on breaking down a chicken and cooking vegetables all in one pan. It was very good!

Yes! I roast chicken and veggies in the same pan all the time. I use Real Simple recipe.

The veggies adding another layer of flavor. It's delish. I always cook the chicken to at least 165 degrees at the thickest part.
