Do I need an invite, what is it??

You do need an invite (you can sign up on the site but there's a big waiting list for activation... an invite gets you in immediately) and it's this site where you can "pin" things you like-- images, recipes, links, etc. It's a great place to collect ideas for things like birthday parties, clothing styles, etc... also a great place to browse around other peoples' pins and re-pin, etc. If you post your email address I can send you an invite!

I like to think of it as "bookmarking by photo" instead of normal bookmarking, which is by website. Ever try to find that one thing you favorited years ago , but can't seem to find it in that giant list on your computer?

@bree72: excellent explanation... also, I used to save images of things I liked, then upload them into an online photo album so I could access them from anywhere. Pinterest makes it so much easier. You can add a "pin this" button to your bookmarking bar of your browser to pin with just two clicks.
I sound like an advertisement.

Sorry I'm not much help, but I looove it. If you are bored....you can easily spend hours on there just browsing things!

I really think it's the place where projects go to die. I don't have the time or equipment to make 90% of the stuff I pin.
