Um.....what? That is such an unusual time.

And no, my kid would not be going. Unless the theme was Meltdown Of The Year. It'll be epic. ALL the babies will melt down at the same time!

Nope. She goes to bed at 7:30. I have friends with kids around 2 who stay up that late though.

Um no, not on a Sunday night. I might make it work on a Saturday night when she can sleep in, but only for an hour or so. No way on a Sunday night that we could make that work without completely throwing her off all week.

Is it an Evite? Their system does wacky things at times and sometimes sends out invites with the wrong date and/or time, so maybe that's it?

Yeah, that definitely wouldn't work for us. Seems like a strange time for a kids' party!

@Corduroy: I bet it's a mistake. Maybe email the parents and ask if that was the intended time?

I wonder if they're paying per head for those who show up, so they're hoping no one will? lol

My kid would be flipping out. Come to think of it, so would I!

I can't imagine that woudl be right... my LO goes to bed SUPER early, I know some babes stay up later but I would assume those parents realize that a kid staying up past 9 is not at all typical (or honestly, healthy!) If I were invited I would comment "Just to clarify- is the time really 7pm-9pm? If so, {LO} won't be able to attend due to bedtime but I would love to stop by quickly to meet other parents!"

That is a late party for a kid! DS doesn't sleep till 9 so we'd go, but still strange. Kid parties are usually much earlier.

That is a really strange birthday party time!

My child could go, but he's an anomaly. He quite easily stays up to 9 or 10pm. I think he's a little used to it because I have class every Wednesday until 8pm, then pick him up at my parents so he isn't in bed until after 9pm. But back when he was younger, he definitely was in bed by 7:3-8.
