My commute is long and I prefer to do it with the radio off! My friends think I am so weird!
Do you like playing music or listening to news when you drive?

I like listening to audio books. They make the drive go by so quickly and I don't want to get out when I get to work! I get bored with music pretty easily.. I'll listen to Mike and Mike when it's NFL season.

I almost always listened to NPR on my hour+ commute to and from work. If I didn't have something to listen to, I would spend all of that time thinking about work - bleh.

Yes I have a 45 minute commute to work and I spend it singing along to the radio. Sometimes though I turn it off because driving is also my time when I think about lesson plans and stuff for my class.

DH usually only listens to the radio if he's alone. If I'm in the car he likes it off so we can talk. For me it just depends what mood I'm in, but usually I like show tunes on.

I turn on the radio right after I start my car if I'm by myself, but when I'm with DH its usually off, he likes it quite!

Yep. I like silence sometimes.

I prefer with, but sometimes if the traffic is crazy and I need to concentrate more than usual I will turn it off.

@mediagirl: I always listen to audio books in the car too!! Makes me look forward to the drive!

I need the radio on and on some type of upbeat music. I would get tired if I listen to my DH's music, or audiobooks.
