I went to the mall and forgot our stroller. I only wanted to go to H&M and Gap Kids so I thought I could hang with holding my 20lb LO the whole time...wrong! I had to take breaks, sweat up a storm and I got exhausted while standing in line at H&M. Never again!!

LOL! I hear ya! I learned with my oldest that I "need" to have either a carrier or a stroller, even if it's just a quick stop. I did that once going to the market. BIG mistake b/c I bought more than just the one thing I needed.

Nope, she is at least 30 lbs now. Too heavy!

I went grocery shopping once thinking I can just hold her (around 20 lbs as well). I thought I only needed a few things but it's never just a few things once you're in the grocery store.

LO is only 14.5 lbs and I still get tired pretty quickly when holding her! She's been on a bit of a pram strike lately so I've had to carry her a lot more when we're out and about....and oh can I feel it in my back and shoulders now! Even when she was a little 7 lbs newborn, she got heavy after a while.

messed my back up doing that too often (baby on the hip). Mr SH carries them on his shoulders all the time though.

My LO is about 20 lbs and I have to hold him often when I'm shopping and doing groceries because he will only tolerate his stroller for so long. It's not too bad until I'm holding 20lbs of groceries with my other arm!

Worst thing ever...walking a mile pushing the jogging stroller, baby pitches fit because he does not want to be in the stroller anymore, then carrying a 20lb baby a mile home. I have never been so sore.
And I take my Ergo everywhere, even if I'm using the stroller because he doesn't tolerate the stroller for long.

Nope. She's 25 lbs.
Once we went to dinner with my in laws at a restaurant at an outdoor mall. They told us the restaurant was "right around the corner " so we didn't bring the stroller and I just carried her. Right around the corner turned into a "go left here, take a right here, now another right...." it wasn't a crazy long walk, but if you're carrying 25 pounds it feels long! I made my fil carry her back.

I take my Ergo everywhere, like Bree72....so in a way I hold him all the time and everywhere, but I cheat!

I try not to and she's barely 15lbs. I keep the moby in my car and the ergo in DH's car so I always have a carrier with me when we're out.

With DD, yes since she's only 13 lbs but DS--no way! When he's asleep I have to carry him and whoa, he's heavy!! 32 lbs to be exact!

Nope. I had to stop baby wearing at about 15 pounds, which made me so sad.

We carry the kids all the time, but usually it's in the baby carrier, so it's not so bad. DD is 25 pounds, and I just can't carry her for long distances anymore. Of course, DS is almost 20 pounds, but since he can't walk yet I end up carrying him a lot.

Heck no! LO is 19 lbs and my arms start to hurt after a couple minutes!

I don't know how much LO weighs now (she was a little more than 15 lbs at her 4 month check-up, we'll find out her weight on Wednesday) but I carry her in the carrier all the time. If I carry her in my arms for a long period of time the next day they feel like they are going to fall off. LO is not a big fan of the stroller, but when I do take the stroller out, I dump the carrier in the bucket because I know she won't last long.
