oh no! I know how excited you were about the UB Does it help if you give her a paci while she's in there? my LO usually passes out with a paci as soon as the stroller starts moving. Or maybe she doesn't like being so flat on her back? Can you put a rolled up towel under the bassinet mattress to elevate one end? Or maybe even a shirt that you've worn/gotten milk on would help comfort her in there. Good luck!

hahaha oh girl, I feel you! Before DS was born I bought all these A+A swaddles and the Ergo. I didn't think I'd need a stroller because I planned to babywear. He HATED anything and everything that resembled a swaddle. Hated it. I kept trying and by 4 months I could use it, he did eventually get used to it.
I bet she doesn't like being flat on her back. Have you tried using the crib or a moses basket inside? She might just be so small that being flat on her back freaks her out. DS was like that for a little while.

@PrincessBaby: It took my daughter a little while to like the stroller but with some short walks she got used to it. Have you tried just putting her in the stroller seat with it all the way reclined? I know you aren't supposed to do this but we did it with a neck support pillow with my newborn and were just fine for a walk around the neighborhood

@rachiecakes: I agree, it also could just be that she doesn't like being flat. Maybe try to swaddle her, elevate the bassinet pad, and surround her with some blankets (not for sleeping obviously just for the walk). See if any of that helps make her feel more safe and secure.

Honestly, our stroller (B-Ready) was so smooth I think it didn't have enough "vibrations" to calm her down on a walk. We used to kinda wiggle the stroller side to side as we walked to help calm her down until she got used to it.

Awe I know how excited you were about the uppa! I put LO in the stroller when he was first born and NOT a fan. H is 4 months now and loves it. Hoping she grows into it!

A is exactly the same and we have the UBV too. Every time we put her snowsuit on she screams in anticipation of going in the stroller, lol. We often end up picking her up and carrying her instead as I can't bear to see her cry. I just bought an ergo to try instead....

@hilsy85: yes I don't think the bassinet raises but just put something under the pad to lift it up.

@PrincessBaby: I know the seats say not to use them for six months but we did. It reclined to almost flat (more reclined than a bouncy seat) and we were just walking so I felt comfortable with it.

My friend was gifted this dreadful baby swing - it was a huge, blue plastic monstrosity. Anyway, her baby loved it - but it didn't go with her decor so she gave it away and spent £85 on a pretty new one, in soft colours. Well.... baby HATES it. He screams blue murder every time she tries him in it. Her DH is furious with her! So no advice, I just wanted to say I sympathise!

@MamaMoose: I was going to suggest the carseat and adapter too-- maybe for walks she likes being more cradled or in a tighter space? That's so frustrating that she hates the bassinet-- that's one of the main reasons i want to get a fancy stroller like the UBV or a Bugaboo!
I know my sister put my nephew in the regular seat sooner than she was supposed to because he started getting really frustrated in the bassinet, but this was when he was a few months old and wanted to see out and was frustrated that he couldn't. H seems just a wee bit young for that to be the issue.

And, I hear you on wanting to *make* the baby like something-- I sort of have my heart set on doing a lot of baby wearing, and I'm afraid I'll have one of the babies that just hates it. DH is really looking forward to it too and it would suck if he missed out on that bonding, so I'm really going to try and make the baby like it!

@PrincessBaby: sometimes babies just need to get used to something. She might not like ANY stroller! I would definitely suggest trying the seat with the infant insert, she might like that better (especially if she doesn't mind a carseat). Then when she gets a little older, you can use the bassinet for naps or as a place to sleep while traveling. It's a shame to not use it since it's SO cute, but you can always try later when she's older and not as fearful of things, and then you can always sell things used

@PrincessBaby: @shopaholic: ours was a kiddopotamus snuzzler. Someone gave it to us at our shower and I thought I would never use it but LO loves it!

@shopaholic: yes I just lay it in there and put her on top of it.

My LO was okay with the Uppababy bassinet as something to sleep in, but she hated it for walks - I think maybe because she associated it with sleep? No idea, but we did get this http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3532542 and it helped give her a little support. She's 7 months old now and I was just walking her today and thinking it's probably time to take the Noggin Nest out!
