Can you make coffee as good as a cafe? What's your secret?

No! And I even worked as a barista for 2 years. Maybe if I had a $10,000 espresso machine I could. I have a crappy Starbucks barista coffee maker. There's a reason they discontinued them.

@HLK208: Wait, if you worked as a barista... doesn't that mean that your coffee is as good as a cafe?! I'm sure your coffee is way better than mine!!

@mrbee: you would think, haha but the quality of the machine is pretty important. I can steam milk nicely and do some latte art but the shots of espresso? Terrible.

I worked at Starbucks for about 6 months and did pretty well. I never had any complaints.
However, I've never made coffee outside of that experience. I'm not a coffee drinker.

Haha what does it mean that I get a lot of trees in my latte art... is that a hidden message of some kind? Like, you're barking up the wrong tree... that's my best guess.

Yes....to our tastes, lol. But my tastes are just brewed coffee, quality beans, ground at home and touched with cream, nothing fancy at all. If you asked me to make a cappuccino (or anything more complicated than regular brewed coffee) I'd look at you blankly.

@mrbee: well, I probably wouldn't have made a heart for anyone if it makes you feel better lol. The leaf was a basic that was a "must" to learn at the coffee shop I worked at and the rest were for fun. Oh, coffee shop days...I'm glad they're in the past!
