I was able to use one just fine. Your incision should be right about your pubic hair line while the my brest friend rests near your stomach. My hospital had a wipeable one that I was able to use - might want to call and ask - save you one less thing to bring home.

Your incision shouldn't hurt but if you don't want to carry it when trying to get your twins home I wouldn't bother. When I Had my twins they just worked with me with one baby at a time and used hospital pillows. I didn't do double feeding until we got home and we (all three of us) got better at it.

I would think it wouldn't be a problem. As @Oceanis723 said it might be easier in hospital just to use their pillows - less stuff to cart around. I imagine you will have enough to lug around!

I was able to use the my breast friend as soon as I got home after having my c-section. I wish I would have brought it with me to the hospital. Yes, it's one more thing to carry and keep track of, but LO and I had a hard time breastfeeding at first, and trying to use regular hospital pillows for support definitely didn't make things any easier. You can't really use your core muscles right after your c-section, so I found the additional support from the pillow is really helpful.

thanks, ladies. the main reason i'd like to bring it with me is so that the lactation consultant that they have could show me how to use it or something together with the babies so i won't have to try and figure it out on my own at home. plus, we have a whole private room to ourselves so i'm not so worried about lugging things since we have a place to store them.

I would bring it so they can show you how to use it and how to position the babies.
Our hospital had limited pillows so it was nice to have a few extra to help with nursing.

I would take it with you if you plan to keep using it, definitely. Try to recreate the environment you'll have at home, using the same things you'll use at home. After my c-section, I had a lot to figure out once I got home (where I didn't have a bed that raised and lowered with the push of a button, the football hold worked well at the hospital but I couldn't replicate it well at home, etc.).

If your c section is scheduled I'd say bring it-- more to lug around, but I'd rather have it than not and have to send someone home for it. I didn't bring my boppy to have less stuff to bring, but Rob Sr. ended up going home for it.

I ended up using pillows to nurse while I was at the hospital, but would definitely take your brestfriend so you can practice while you're there!

I took mine & had the hardest time getting lo to latch. I just use a pillow to support my arm now & hold her.
