My older LO asked me what was wrong with my face when I was trying to hold in my frustrations earlier this morning . (LO were whining, bickering, fighting, not sharing, etc! 
) I guess I have an ugly face when I'm annoyed! 
DH sighs in similar situations and they definitely pick up on it. My older LO likes to copy him and she sighs when LO 2 annoys her!

Not usually...
She upset me recently by talking endlessly about our dog who died and she asked "does that make you sad?" In this tone of complete disbelief and confusion. They're so clueless at this age! Innocent I guess.

yep, and she usually says "no yelling, no screaming, don't be sad, just be HAPPY!"
