Do you own a carpet cleaner?
I'm debating if I should buy one on Black Friday (or ask for it for xmas), Kohls has a Hoover Powerscrub for $110, or just rent. I can rent one from our local hardware store for $23 for one night.
I'm leaning towards rent, because I figure I'll use it probably twice a year (to do the whole house) and I've read they can rust out so not sure how long they last?
*I could also use this to spot -clean way more than twice a year though.. kids!

I’d rent if I know how they disinfect etc ... if it’s an easy one to use we would buy.

Do you have a good place to store it? We have one but it takes up a good amount of room so it’s in the lofted storage in our garage. It’s such a pain to get out that I don’t use it even when there are areas of the carpet begging to be cleaned...

My husband brought one - a Hoover, and I was annoyed. But I actually use it all the time! So buy one and never look back

@gotkimchi: lol, too funny. It'd be one of those xmas gifts thats not really a gift but would totally love it. Last year I got a steam cleaner for the hardwoods.

I have a small bissell spot clean one for emergencies; I think if you have that, then maybe you can just get away with doing deep clean once in a a long while (like 1-2 yrs) and maybe just hiring a company to do it.
