Do you have a child carrier for a child older than age 3? I thought kid wearing was done once the child out grew the Ergo but I've been seeing some things about kids being worn beyond the baby stage. What do you have? Would you buy it again? Would you buy something else?

I use a Toddler Tula occasionally. It stays in my car and I don't keep my stroller in there anymore, so it comes in handy sometimes. LO is more of a 2 year old size (24lbs) so it's pretty comfy and fits him very well. I even wore him on the front this weekend. We were banging heads a bit, but it worked : ).

Ha, my 3 yo is 35 lbs and 39", no way am I carrying her as much as I adored my Beco! We stopped with it right after she turned 2. We have considered a backpack hiking style carrier so we could go on hikes and put her in there if/when she gets tired, but haven't pulled the trigger on that yet.

Toddler Tulas are great! My 1 year old is the size of a 2 year old though and I'm only 5'2" so we don't carry him often. We recently went to an aquarium that doesn't allow strollers (which I didn't know at the time), and they rented out backpack type carriers. My son loved that!

My LO still loves to be worn in a Toddler Tula, and it's still comfortable for me to wear her in the tula. She is on the smaller side though, about 36" but only 26lbs. We still babywear for any long distance / long day activities.

Connecta's make a pre-school one that's even bigger than toddler size I think!

My kid isn't 3 yet, but weighs 32 lbs and is 36" tall. We still wear him all the time in the Onya. I think it goes up to 45 lbs so I assume we'll use it past 3. It's indispensable for travel and hiking, I'd definitely buy it again.I do miss the front carry though, but obviously we have to sick with back carry now.

My almost 3 year old has zero interest in being worn (and hasn't for a while), and I'm not inclined to wear her anyway since she's getting big. When we are out and about she wants to run around and play and explore. If we will be going somewhere that I don't think she can walk the whole time or I need to be able to contain her for safety, we bring the G Luxe.

Another vote for toddler Tula. I haven't been able to wear her since getting pregnant but DH has and she's snug as a bug in it!

My 2yo is over the Ergo weight limit now (35 and he's close to 40) but I still wear him for brief stretches. Mostly when he's being a handful or clearly getting jealous of his sister and needing some attention. But it isn't super comfy for him so then he asks to get down. Win win.

I occasionally back carry Miss A in our Ergo but she's way too leggy and tall despite the fact that she's a total lightweight!

If they made one for a 3 year old that is the size of a 6 year old I would be all over that. She still LOVES to be held and I think she would do well being worn in a lot of situations!

I was done with toddler wearing before my son outgrew the ergo weight limit. It was too much for me! But I was never that into baby wearing, and my LOs didn't seem too into it either.

My LO is 2.5, 36" and about 28 lbs. I still occasionally use our toddler tula. She doesn't want to be restrained, but in certain situations she'll tolerate it!
The toddler tula goes up to 50 lbs I think.

Wes is an average height 3 and a half year old weighing 34 pounds. I still wrap him on a somewhat regular basis (a few times a month) even though I'm 21 weeks pregnant with baby 3. My husband probably wears him once a week in our standard lillebaby. It's not full knee to knee coverage, but fits fine for him and hubby. The other day he actually fell asleep on his back! It was nuts!
We only wear him when he asks. Oliver, who's 20 months old, gets worn on a daily basis. I wrap him, DH uses the lille with him.

My 4 year old is 32# and 40 inches. I wear him on my back in a tula toddler. It is a perfect fit (doesn't support to his knees) but he doesn't complain. Beco Gemini on the front with baby but I found that was very quickly grown out.
