I found a patio set I like! And it is cheap! Hooray! But it ships only within the US! BOO!!
I would use one of those Buffalo "mailbox" things, but I am confused by them--would love to ask some questions to someone who frequently uses them, and wouldn't mind walking me through! Anyone?

I used the box once - it was actually really good. My mom has since used it a few times. Sign up once, use it when you need it!

I've used two different ones. The most convenient one was Kinex. It's located at the exit just before the Military Rd outlet mall. For small packages it was $5 to hold for a week and they charged for each day thereafter. It would definitely be more for a patio set. Their website is excellent and I've never had any issues. Oh, and they are cash only.

CBI charges a minimal amount for indefinite holdings of your item, too. They recommend 90 days, and then you can talk to them to say you need more time. You can pay with anything, and you can set it up for someone else to pick it up for you if you need to.

I will see if I can sort out CBI. My biggest issue is that the websites are all crap for these companies! I feel like I am about to get swindled!

@woodentulip: I thought the same thing. The place is a dingy warehouse, too... But I have never had any issue getting and/or returning my products.

Not Buffalo, but I use a shipping/receiving company all the time (Washington State). Just be aware of any over weight extra costs. My place costs extra for items over 100 lbs.
