What do you think of Mila?
Jenna Bush Hager's daughter will be called Mila, a nickname honoring both her grandmother's Margaret & Laura.

I like it but I don't really think if it as a celeb name. I've heard it before and think its really pretty.

@Foodnerd81: the mama's a celeb, not necessarily the baby's name.

I like it, but I think they should have just named her that! Margaret to Mila is a stretch, IMO.

@Mrs. Lemon-Lime: oh. Duh I automatically starting thinking along the lines of Apple and Pilot Inspektor!

I love the name Mila. It's simple and exotic at the same time.
And I agree with @Mrs.Champagne . . . they just should have named the baby Mila.

@Mrs. Champagne: I agree. The LA part fits Laura, but MI is no where near Margaret.
I like Mila better than Margaret or Maggie, but the name reminds me of Lilo & Stitch because I sometimes call the show Milo & Stitch.

I think Mila is a pretty name! It reminds me of Mila Kunis and she's gorgeous!

I love that they named her after both her grandmothers who have beautiful classic names, and think the nickname they came up with is cute too!

Mila is so pretty, i agree @Mrs. Champagne it's such a stretch!
It's said like Mee-la, right?

@mediagirl: I think so, like Mila Kunis is mee-la
I think it's gorgeous!

I do think the nickname is a stretch from her name but I also think it's really pretty!

I love it! I don't really think it's that much of a stretch since she wanted to honor the names Margaret & Laura -- there aren't too many names that accomplish that! Mila seems like a reasonable combo to me.

I love it (one of my friends is going to name her DD that), and I don't think Margaret Laura to Mila is too much of a stretch... Bobby/Robert, Hank/Henry, Dick/Richard works... so Mila works for me!

@mrsjazz: I just realized I'm totally confused..that's what I get for reading too quickly! I thought they named her Mila. oops!

@sorrycharlie: I was confused at first, too! Once I clicked the link I realized they named her Margaret

I love the name! Actually was on my name list but DH didn't care for it. I think it is pretty good for trying to combine Jose two names. Better than Mala or Marla right?

i think it's a great name!
also, i think in general that we shouldn't worry about names that echo celebrity and tv names b/c it is likely only something that will come up in the current few years.... i highly doubt it will affect the kids at all, when they are older
ex. aria is such a great name!! i am pretty sure gossip girls will be a distant memory in 5-10 years

At least she didn't pull a twilight and call her Lauret or Laurgret or something even worse.
