I read an awesome book called "Pretend" to Charlie last night:

At the end of the book, the boy in the book says to his dad, "You're the best. For pretend and for real."

So naturally, I turned to Charlie and said, "YOU'RE the best. For pretend and for real."

Charlie furrowed his brow and said, "But, I not pretend?!"

I started to explain what I meant to him, when he started laughing and said, "I just kidding!!"

It was his first joke where he setup a punchline, and then made it all the way through to the end of the joke. I was so proud of him!!

Then he told a bunch of really dumb jokes the rest of the evening. I was less proud of that, but I guess he has to get his practice in somewhere!!

Does your LO tell jokes and/or joke around?
