I received a check from my dad's friend made out to the baby. I'm assuming it won't be a problem to deposit it into my account, right?

Technically... you're only supposed to be able to deposit checks that are in the name of the person on the account, so it could be a problem. If it's something you're interested in, maybe make an account for your kid?
Or, just put it in the machine and hope for the best. -
I'd bring it into the bank with your LO and their birth certificate. DH tried via phone app and it wouldn't work so I'm assuming ATM may give you a hard time

I've never had issues depositing checks with LO's name into my bank account. They rarely ever check. I even deposited my sister's check into my account since she doesn't have a bank account in her name.

We asked at our bank and they said to sign it with your name and then write "for [LO's name], a minor". I think as long as you are depositing it should be fine. Ours have always been ok.

The latest check I received was from our old daycare. They owned me my deposit back and they made the refund check out to my LO. Hello people?!? Think!!!!

We were told by our bank to sign the back of the check and print "parent of-" and the child's name. No biggie!
