Just saw this online...
For those of you that stopped going to CFA after the statement was made by its president, will you go back now? I think this is a step in the right direction, but I wish the president himself would make a public statement about it.

I never ate at Chick-fil-a before, so this won't affect me. The recent policy reveral is much more in line with my personal beliefs, although I support the right for business owners to run their business how they'd like to. If I don't like it, I will just not go.
But wow, Chick-fil-A just got thrown under a bus by the group they liased/negotiated with! Having done some work in PR, I can definitely say that no corporation in a pr crisis will want to work with them again. Yikes!!

I'm so glad to hear this. I feel they have the right to support the causes they want, just like we have the right not to eat there.

@ladyfingers: Oh I just was saying from the point of view of having worked in PR... CFA didn't do the best possible job of controlling their message.
If you look at the actual quotes that the org gave, they talk about treating people equally and say that they will take a closer look at the organizations they consider funding. If you compare that to what's in this article ("anti-gay donations," "a culture of discrimination") there's a pretty wide delta driven largely by an activist group. In PR, you never ever want to let that happen...
In any case, probably too much mass communications inside baseball for this forum! Sorry to stray off-topic...

@ladyfingers: You see this sort of thing a lot... an org that has gotten nothing but largely positive PR will enter a crisis situation, and struggle to adapt. I'm sure they'll learn from this experience!
