Has anyone used it? How old/big was your LO, how long was the flight, and what did you think?
LO is 17 months and about 23 lbs. We're planning to take a 4-hour flight.

DD was 2 and the flight was 2.5 hours long. We had no issues using it and DD didn't mind being buckled in with it.

We have it!!! Oh boy. It really depends on your LO.
We used it a couple of times between 18-24 months and it was ok. Then at some point, LO hit a stage (somewhere before 2) where he didn't like to be restrained. He was OK to be strapped on, but as we wait to take off he just kept sliding down, until the buckle kinda "choke" his neck. He got scared and wanted to get out, but we were in teh process of taking off so I wanted him to remain seated. Needless to say he got more upset and even the flight attendant came over and sternly told me he needs to remain seated. Thank God he was under 2, I told her and she let me hold him in his arms. I swear I will bring my car seat from now on until he at least understand how the world works.... hopefully soon (he turned 2 a month ago).
So I think it will be useful eventually, but not before 2. Again, if your LO is an angel and cause you no trouble at all, then go for it.

We started using after LOs turned 2. My son complained the first time he used it because if he wiggles around, it gets a little uncomfortable. He's okay now with it buckled in the entire trip. The flights we take are 5-6 hours long. My daughter is at an age where she complains about it but I suspect that she, too, will be fine with it as she gets older.

I have one, but we've never actually used it on a flight. My husband declared it useless and pointless and that was the end of that.
My son doesn't fiddle with the seat belt buckle, he is a major rule follower, so I don't see the need, honestly. And when he was under 3, he sat in his 5 point harnessed car seat in the plane anyway.
