I got hospital bills for LO & I, anesthesiologist, OB and pediatrician.
I think that's it?
Who did you pay for your child birth?

So far, hospital ( just for me), OB, and anesthesiologist. We received a bill from the hospital for LO but they were waiting on insurance, so I am guessing insurance her portion since we didn't get a bill.

for me: hospital, OB, anesthesiologist and the nurse who assisted in my C-section.

How does the billing thing work? I have a $1000 deductible then have 100% coverage after I meet the deductible, and we have to pay the deductible before I even have the baby. So will I still receive all these bills but just not have to pay them?

@Mrs. High Heels: @looch: does the hospital just bill for everyone? That will be soo much simpler!

@lawbee11: The hospital will submit the bill to your insurance first. Insurance will determine how much your cost is vs. their cost and pay the hospital accordingly. The hospital will then send you a bill.

Hospital, OB & Anesthesiologist. I didn't actually get a bill b/c I didn't pay a dime b/c I'm double covered. I just got a summary of what was billed to insurance and I was shocked at how expensive it is! My mom had saved the hospital bill from when she had me and it was like 5k.

So far, I just have to pay the midwife up front. I don't know if that's the whole cost or if the hospital will bill me later.

Everyone and their mother! Ha!
The hospital, OB and anesthesiologist for me. For LO, the hospital, his regular pediatrician and the NICU pediatricians.

We got separate bills for me and him but all from the hospital.

We were 100% covered last time, so I only had to pay my one deductible. However they've changed our coverage since then, we now have a $1200 deductible to meet before they pay 100%, I've been getting billed by the OB, and perinatology clinic.

@regberadaisy: I wish I knew, but I have no idea. DH handled the bill.

Just the company that did the hearing screen, which is BS because insurance is supposed to cover it by law but they're giving us the run around.
ETA we did also get a bill for my deductible from the hospital but we had already paid that to my OB and the hospital filed their claim first so we got a refund from the OB and paid the hospital with that.

We paid our copay to the hospital while there, then received bills from the anesthesiologist, pediatrician, and neonatologist (he was seen by the neonate team at birth because he wasn't breathing).
