Forgive me if there are any similar posts to this with holiday travel around the corner, but I was hoping the mamas of the hive could recommend tried-and-true children's shows to add to our iPad for airplane travel. Back story: I have a 19 month old girl (shout out to May 2014 moms) who is extremely active, curious, and thoroughly into the terrible two tantrums. I'm hoping to avoid meltdowns on our 4hr nonstop flight next Monday at 8:45am. She normally doesn't nap till early afternoon so I'm not banking on getting her to sleep on the plane. Besides snacks, books, and her favorite Hop Hop, any suggestions for shows to download? Not just any shows, but ones that have a track record of captivating littles on an airplane with little space to run around and touch all the things? Maybe something that is interesting even without sound? She LOVES Masha and The Bear, but I see it's not available on iTunes. Help?!

My LO is obsessed with Daniel Tiger and has been since that age. I downloaded 5 episodes onto an iPod for a flight when she was 19 months but she already loved the show. Do you have time to let her watch a few shows on TV before buying to see what she likes? (I dvr Daniel on pbs, though they have them on the PBS app too).
On the flight she refused to wear the headphones but watched with the volume so low I couldn't hear it sitting right next to her.

Great idea @FOODNERD81 and @JHD. She has seen Daniel Tiger but not a ton of episodes so maybe she'll find it new and exciting. She also loves Puffin Rock (and mom is slightly obsessed with its beautiful images and calming music and Irish (?) accents) but it's a Netflix original series so doubt I can download. Thank you!

you can save youtube videos and the disneybr collector (now fun toyz collector) is a surefire hit for that age.

At 19 months LO loved musical shows so Mother Goose Club and The Wiggles were big hits!

My son loves/loved The Little Bear, it's on Amazon prime and you can download to iPad.

My DD loves Yo Gabba Gabba and started enjoying Sofia the First around that age.

My son was a little older on our last flight (30m) and sadly didn't like watching videos much. The only ones he really likes are music videos like "wheels on the bus" or "itsy bitsy spider".
