So we started CIO tonight and LO is stuck on her belly and trying to roll back but can't. We left her for naps on her belly because she feel asleep in less than 20 min. It's been 30 min now. Should I go turn her over?

Edited: I would probably turn her over if she isn't used to stomach sleeping.

@MamaBehr: she just started rolling. She slept fine for naps today on her belly.

@raintreebee: we turned her and she just rolled right back over.

I would turn her. It sucks that you just started CIO and now this, but when c started rolling we had to hold her down on her back until she fell asleep a couple of times (gently, just keeping her from rolling, not like pinning her down). That's just sucky timing.

@Foodnerd81: ugh I know! She's settling down now though. She's quiet and has her head to the side. She freaked out when DH went in earlier and turned her.

@abbydabbydoodlebug: if it's any consolation, once C started sleeping on her tummy her sleep got a lot better! She started sleeping longer stretches and stirring less. We had done CIO for falling asleep before the rolling started.
She's not in a swaddle, right?

@Foodnerd81: No swaddle. She's in a sleep sack now. She actually rolled in her merlin magic sleep suit. I was watching her on the monitor when she did it, thank goodness. I was thinking about sleep training before but I kept putting it off until it got so bad. Then she started rolling. Blah! I can't win.
Should I flip her tomorrow night if she flips and gets stuck?

@abbydabbydoodlebug: we decided to flip DS, because he loses his mind when he is stuck on his tummy, so going in and flipping him didn't make it any worse. But if she isn't too upset, I might leave her? I don't know, it's so hard!

@Emsmems: yeah she was not happy, but I was torn because she did so well at naps today, even when she flipped it took 20 min one time and 10 min another. The third nap she never flipped. I was hoping tonight would be the same. Alas.

We did CIO at 6 months and even though she knew how, LD would roll onto her tummy and flip out and not roll back to her back. We left her and she quickly got used to it and enjoyed being on her tummy. I felt she was old enough and capable to handle it.
