I just nursed dd to sleep ... after four nights of {attempting} to let her CIO. I guess I should just resign to being her soothie for a couple more months...

@rrachael: don't sweat it Mama, some babies just don't take to CIO so just enjoy the sweet baby snuggles for now

She's probably just not ready yet. Try again in a month or so and see what happens.

@rrachael: haha same here! We tried for about five minutes to sleep train and couldn't stand it - I figured he (and us!) just isn't ready yet!
And now that I'm working full-time, I actually love nursing him to sleep - it's something that no one else can provide. I'll probably pay for it later, lol, but I feel like most parenting decisions have consequences, it's just what you feel the most comfortable doing for your kid.
Anyway, everything will work out, enjoy your sweet baby!

Our first attempt at 4 months failed miserably! It was much more successful at 6.5 months, especially when I realized I could sub nursing with a few minutes of bouncing (to drowsy not asleep) before putting him in his crib.try again later, you'll get there!

I failed miserably the first attempt. I know you're probably desperate to get some sleep, but try again in a month or so and it will be so much easier.

We failed twice at 3 mos and 4 mos before it took at 6 mos! Don't feel bad. Just try again in a month or so.

Thanks, ladies! She's 7 months so I was trying to get her withing that "ideal" window ... But no such luck. Each time shed self soothe and fall asleep, it would only last for 5-10 minutes before she was crying again. I could only take so much
@sotofamilia: I'm a teacher so I go back to work full time in a couple weeks ... I totally know what you mean about looking at it as extra/special time!
