I don't have the energy to go into tons of detail, but basically, LO is 9.5m and wakes up every 2-4 hours and bedtime is difficult. He STTN months 2, 3, 5, and 7, so I know these wakings are not necessary. We did a very simplified, nicer (???) version of Ferber twice and it worked but didn't stick. We plan to sleep train and nap train starting tomorrow night with either extinction CIO or strict Ferber. Here and there we've done CIO for a waking or a bedtime and he falls asleep within 5-8 min so I know it's doable.
My main question is, if you did extinction CIO or checks, did you use that same method of MOTN wakings? I can handle CIO for 15-20 min at bedtime, but I don't know if I can do it every 2-4 hours....
my resolve might weaken.
I think the sleep regression kicked off a month ago when he learned how to crawl, pull to stand, and cruise all in the same week. From what I read, the regression can also start in month 8, since it's usually linked to learning those skills
