we got gifted a sophie the giraffe and i'm planning to clean it with soap and water before giving it to DD. but i was wondering, since it's something she's going to be putting in her mouth a lot (and dropped on the floor a lot), how often do you clean it? i guess this question would apply to any toy your LO puts in their mouth.

I rinsed it in hot water maybe once a week? I'm not too much of a germaphobe though!

I clean her every day with soap and water, DD takes her's to her baby sitters house and sophie will have food stuck in the crevices so I do a through cleaning every night

I will say... don't put her in the dishwasher. I ruined my son's sophie that way... no more squeaks!

I typically clean LO's "teething" toys (incl, Sophie) once a day, or sometimes every other day if we have a particularly busy day. I just soak them in a bucket of hot, soapy water, then rinse, and let air dry.
