I don't think my son really cares, he is all about the ornaments.

The pre-lit tree we bought last year can be either white lights or coloured lights, and we love it! DH and I prefer the white lights but the girls love the coloured lights, so whilst they're awake, the tree is colourful, after they go to bed, we press a button on the remote and they turn to white. Perfect.

Growing up, our tree was always multi colored lights but outside was white, so that's my preference. I don't like multi outside.

Um, LOs don't even enter into this decision. DH and I know that colored lights are the ONLY proper way to celebrate the season.

Our tree is pre-lit multi colored. Outside, we use a few strings of blue LEDs and a few of white LEDs to decorate our porch.

I only like clear lights, period, but especially on a tree. I think multicolored lights are too much once you add tinsel and all the bright ornaments. I don't think kids really care one way or another

Both my kids strongly prefer colors.
I like white and clear lights, it looks sophisticated but colorful lights have that warm, festive, youthful feel so we do colorful.

Clear for sure! Clear goes with everything! I am a sucker for clear and blue though.

White lights for me. My husband loves color lights but I really don't like them.

We made a deal before we got married... I picked the silverware I really wanted for our registry and I agreed to DH's strong preference for colored lights on the Christmas tree forever.

My husband wants clear, 2 yo wants multi, so multi wins!

Our tree and house have blue lights.

We have clear lights on our trees. We bought DS a small target tree and a string of colored lights for his own mini tree for his room!

Multi colored is far more festive to me. Clear just seems kind of meh. But, multi is what I grew up with, so I'm sure that "colors" my opinion.
