Anyone have the Clek Oobr? Do you like it? When did you switch your child to the harness/booster seat?
I'm looking for a harness/booster for my son who just turned 4. I was looking at this and the Britax Frontier Clicktight (we have Britax convertibles). Any other recommendations?

@anbanan15: we have a Clek oobr. We switched a couple of weeks before DD's 4th birthday and we love it.
The seat is comfy, reclines, super easy to install and comes with a cup holder!

@anbanan15: yeah, it's pretty wide. I have a britax advocAte as well for my son and pretty sure we wouldn't be able to fit anther seat back there (I have an Audi Q7)
We have the pink and white one. It's a bright and pretty color. $199 is really good, but not sure I'd go with all black. Just because it's too dark for my liking. I'm probably gonna get Cloud or Dragonfly when it's time for DS to upgrade seats!

@chopsuey: I saw it is 14" at the base and, I think 20" at the widest part. The Britax I think I read it 19-20". Hmm I'm really torn between it and the Britax since it still has the 5 pt harness option. I think he would just meet all the requirements for the oobr. He currently sits in the middle, so we would have to switch him to an end seat and I am wondering about buckling with a back seat full of kids, plus getting DD in the middle car seat once baby comes.

@anbanan15: DH has a black foonf and we haven't had any problems with it getting gross or anything. They wipe down pretty easily in my experience!

@blackbird: does it get super hot? That was more my concern with an all black one than getting dirty. Our car seats are by super dark colors now and they still get dirty

@anbanan15: not to the point that he's mentioned it! Mine is light green and we always blast the AC a little first. We also both have cars that are only a couple years old so they cool down quick. E's never complained, though.

I just measured DS and he's 39" and 36 lbs (if my measurements are accurate).

At 4, I would probably still want him in a 5 point harness. Especially since he's on the smaller side.

A 4 year old should still be in a 5pt harness. Kids typically don't meet the requirements for a booster until 5 at the earliest, most later than that.

@anbanan15: looks like he meets the requirements for the Oobr. I guess it just depends on how comfortable you are having him strapped in using a seat belt ..
DD is 43 inches tall and 42lbs and once she sat in the oobr she wanted nothing to do with her old advocate.

@chopsuey: Yea I am really not sure how comfortable I am with him being in that style seat. We just checked out the Frontier and he liked it.
