I'm on my second cycle of Clomid and have had zero side effects. I took them 5-9 and the first month I ovulated on CD18. This cycle, it's CD24 and I still haven't ovulated yet, though I think I just got a positive OPK today. My natural cycles, I O anywhere from 22-29, so I'm not even convinced Clomid is doing anything for me.

@Mrs.Panda: I took my Clomid at night this past cycle, and my only side effects was being a bitch. I couldn't even stand to be by myself. I didn't have any physical side effects, though.

I also worried that it wouldn't work, I ended up with two mature follicles!

@Mrs.Panda: FWIW, on Monday I got a neg OPK in the morning but a + at 8:30pm. I still had a + the next morning when I went in for my bloodwork, which also confirmed the surge.

It was - again Tuesday night!

@Mrs.Panda: First of all, I love your avatar! Second of all, yes, I ovulated with Clomid, even though there were no other side effects! I also have PCOS and I wasn't ovulating prior to taking the medication. I had two unmonitored cycles with Clomid, so I'm not sure about the ovulation there, but for the last four cycles, I was getting the full work-up and I was ovulating beautifully. The only side effect I got, I think, was a thinner than usual lining, but that was only on cycle #5 on Clomid.

Have you considered OPKs or charting to check to see if you're going to ovulate/have ovulated (respectively)? For a control freak like me who needs to know what's going on, those two things have been so unbelievably helpful.
