I'm on a mission to get all our bedroom closets more organized and utilize the space better. Do you have closet organizers in your closets? Which ones do you have?

Bumping! I have a closetMaid system but I hate it because it wasn't well planned out. I'd like to do a custom Elfa system from the Container store and have someone design it.

We put Elfa from the container store in LO's closet and I really like it. I want it for all our closets!

We have done two closets with the Elfa system and couldn't be happier! A bit more expensive than other systems, but super sturdy and easy to use. Worth the price!

We had a closet company come and do our closets in our old condo and loved it so much that we did the same thing in our current home!

We have Elfa in both our closets. I love it because it's so easy to make adjustments as your closet needs change.

@evansjamie: oh man, I was looking at a closetmaid one on the home depot site earlier. I thought it was meant to be customizable?
@LemonLong: @Weagle: @lioneyes: @SleepyMonkey: looks like the elfa is definitely the preferred option. It does look kind of pricy upon initial look though. I'll have to look into it some more.
Thanks for the feedback!

@BoogieBea: It is, but the previous owner is the one who put it in and they did not do a good job in my opinion. It's a small closet (built in the 70's) and it just isn't an efficient use of space.

Ha! I dream of the day I have closets to organize! For whatever reason, they're not standard in Hong Kong apartments, so we've got two closets in the whole house - a small one in the master bedroom, and another small utility-style closet at the end of the hall where we shove big items.
I"m looking into buying wardrobes (IKEA or similar) for our other two bedrooms - I hate to eat into our precious floor space, but I think it's the only way we're going to stay relatively organized and make this space work with one (soon to be two) kids!
In my ideal world, I love closets that have multiple levels to hang items (short and long) combined with divided mesh/fabric drawers for items like scarves/lingerie/jewelry and shelves for stacking jeans/sweaters. Someday....!

@PinkElephant: ah but you live in hk! That's already a plus in my book. We used to live in sg. I miss it sometimes. The closet you described is exactly what I'm looking for. Right now, we just have a rail and one shelf in my daughter's closet. I just have boxes of things stacked on top of each other. She also has a hand me down dresser in her room which is where we currently put her clothes but if we used her closet more efficiently we won't need to have the dresser take up extra space in her room.
