Any cool hacks? I have two kinds of liners leftover from my son, we kind of petered out on CD'ing at this time because I never got a good system. I dont really think we want to get a sprayer..we only have one bathroom and its so small. We just started solids.
Oh, if it matters, we use some all in ones, some prefolds and flats (but no snappis, I just fold and lay in cover)

To me the sprayer is the only way to go. The few times we used liners they just bunched up and made it more gross.
Sprayers don't really take up any extra space and even with liners you really should dump the poop in the toilet

We used viva "like cloth" paper towels as liners, and grabbed them with a plastic grocery bag to wrap & throw them away (like you would do with dog poop). Once in awhile it would be messy but most of the mess was contained on the line. We always tried to make sure he got bananas and applesauce to firm things up.

We tried liners and ditched them as well because they didn't seem to make things any less messy. Have you heard of Spray Pal? It's kind of like a shield that keeps all the water contained when you're using the sprayer. In terms of space, our sprayer came with a holder so that you could just clip it on the side of the toilet tank, so it was pretty unobtrusive. The Spray Pal folds up flat and we stored ours in a small bin, so that one does take up some additional space, but not much.

I have the tiniest bathroom (3 foot by 4 foot) and found a diaper sprayer and diaper pail in the bathroom is the only way to go.

We used a sprayer and pail in the downstairs bathroom with DD1. With DD2 we're still using the sprayer (I'm not sure how I would clean diapers without it during that in-between time especially) but I just save the 1-2 poops per day to spray at the same time and carry a wet bag in with me.
It works well for us and the sprayer takes up no additional space since it clips on the toilet.

I would try to shake out as much as possible then diaper sprayer for sure, but in our case it was too strong so it sprayed everywhere. It was vile. Also, my son's poops were suuuuuuper messy and loose. My CD experience was not the best. I can't imagine how many feces particles are all over my bathroom.

Never used a sprayer or liners with DD1 and never had problems. DD2 had grosser (looser) poop so we used liners and a spatula. I would definitely invest in a sprayer if you have one with looser poop.

I'm a Fluff Love University so I went with their recommendation of fleece liner's made from a Walmart blanket. We had been using the Grovia liners, but once DD started running around, it looked uncomfortable because it would go up her butt like a wedgie. The fleece liners have been great! I got a wrist-length pair of rubber gloves, and shake the solids out into the toilet. If there is some on the diaper, I stick it into the bowl and just rub the material together, till the solids come off. No actual touching poop or nasty water.
DD is in daycare so I have to do this nightly. We live in an apt, so we didn't want to bother with a sprayer.

I have found so many other uses for the sprayer. it's been helpful. We have a small but ADA compliant bathroom and the sprayer does not take up extra room.
I will also just wash them out in the toilet bowl and wash up really well after. Not perfect, but LO's have had some super messy poops.
It's SO much better for poop to go into the toilet than the trash. Even with disposible diapers you should dump as much poop as you can.

We are on kid number two and haven’t used a diaper sprayer.
For kid one, I used fleece liners and a spatula until she learned the “potty” sign. Then I would remove her diaper and let her poop on the little potty.
Kid two doesn’t know the sign, but she consistently poops in the morning, so I put her in a disposable until after the poop, then switch to cloth. If she randomly poops again, it’s back to the spatula.
I always put poop in the toilet, whether it’s cloth or disposable. Except for those dramatically impossible ones—you know what I mean. When that happens in cloth, I do a soak in either a plastic tub or the wash drum with some detergent, it’ll all just slide right off later.

A sprayer is the way to go! They don't take up room, they just attach to the side of the toilet.

I've cd two kids 100% full time even on vacation. #1 we did not have a diaper sprayer. We used liners that I cut out of a yard of microfleece. Super cheap and definitely helped. Please don't throw more poop in the trash than you have too!
For #2 we bought a diaper sprayer. I would never go back. The main thing I missed while on vacation with him was the diaper sprayer.
We just used prefolds, liners, and covers. No snappis, nothing fancy. I don't even use fancy detergent anymore! CD doesn't have to be complicated.

Yeah, the liners suck! I guess I’ll get a sprayer, her poop is still extremely loose and frequent. I do have some fleece liners I’ll try but I guess there’s no point until it’s closer to dumpable. I also use my pockets as a cover but should take advantage of thst material and actually stuff them once her poop is dumpable!

And in terms of the small bathroom, I guess I just meant because everything is right there so close, it made it a bit closer to potential poop spray accidents. . Any tricks to that?

@mrsbubbletea: we have a bathroom that is just our Los so I just leave it sitting on a mat open. But I have a friend with limited space and she folds it and slides it into a wetbag that hangs on the wall by the toilet. She has 2 bags and tosses them in with diaper laundry

I haven't tried it yet, so can't say with 100% certainty, but I've been looking into a diaper dawg spray collar as an alternative to the spray pal for a small bathroom. It takes up very little space and the youtube videos make it look great to use. Another option to consider!

It's ok to just wash them out... it's ok to touch poop... or at least I do from time to time if the sprayer isn't cutting it, or i am washing i diaper without it. I get it done and wash my hands really really well. I've been fine... maybe this is super grose and i shouldn't admitted i do this on a public forum. 
I have resined myself to touching poop as being a part of motherhood.....

@maddyz: Thanks for being real. I wash my diapers in the kitchen sink when the poop can't just be dumped in the toilet. I have a joint disease, so bending over the toilet with the sprayer is torture on my back. I do rinse the sink out really well with dish soap when I'm done. But I think my mom was traumatized when she came to visit, regardless.

I bought a sprayer secondhand with a lot of diapers, but never hooked it up or used it. When necessary, I just used toilet paper to wipe sticky poop into the toilet.

Sprayer and spray pal! We’ve used the setup in our one and only small bathroom (in 2 different houses) and I still touched less poop than when I used disposables with blowouts!
