We've been using a pre fold and hemp insert which worked great until recently. Lately it's been leaking a lot though. How do you cloth diaper at night?

@autumnlove: Do you put the hemp on the bottom and microfiber closer to the baby? My hemp inserts arrive tomorrow. Also, is there any reason you don't use the 4.0s and hemp for the baby? My LO is almost six months, but we have just been using disposables at night till now.

@Zbug: I put the hemp under the microfiber inserts.
The 4.0s fit weird on the baby and her skin was getting irritated from the wet fabric overnight....her skin is on the sensitive side. I'm not really sure why the Thirsties work on her because they are made from a similar fabric!

B.G. 4.0's with two inserts at 14-months. If we forget the extra insert there is sure to be leakage more recently!

We used to do fitteds and wool but then realized he did just fine a BG 4.0 with double insert - usually one microfiber and one hemp

I don't... disposable overnight, but all I've heard is that fitteds and wool covers are the way to go!

Thanks for all the answers! I've also tried a BG freetime with a hemp insert, so maybe it's time to try adding another insert or try a fitted. I'm kinda intimidated by wool covers even though I've heard they're great for night.

We tried BG 4.0 and Rumparooz with bamboo inserts overnight worked for a while but eventually she kept leaking. Never used hemp as my husband has an irrational aversion to using hemp.
Imagine cotton bamboo fitteds with cover have been absolutely bulletproof for us. We use a regular PUL cover - alternate between Imagine cover and Blueberry cover.

We use a hemp fitted by kissaluvs, with a hemp and stay dry/fleece liner, wrapped in a rumparooz cover. Fitteds are awesome for hip leaks where pockets don't really have absorbency.
When troubleshooting leaks, it good to check out lo's diaper in the morning to see if it's totally saturated or not. If it is, you need more absorbency, but if not, you may just need more absorbency in one spot....like at the hip or even just an extra fold of fabric in the front rather than just adding more layers overall.

We use a disposable overnight because DS1 had such sensitive skin and would get so red after sitting in the cloth overnight. I don't like it, but I guess it is just 1 a day.

We're in the same situation as @shellio: We have to use disposables overnight or else DS gets a horrible red rash from the moisture. I tried every type of cloth imaginable, but it just didn't work for us
