I used a yogurt container with water. After wiping her down i put the wipe in the container. I rinsed off poop from the wipe and then threw it in the diaper bag. For some of the bad messes, i used a disposable wipe because it was easier to get into the crevices.

If you use liners, don't flush them...even though they say they can be flushed!

I kept a small basin in the bathroom, I'd drop the wipes in there
and then rinse them when i had a quick moment. I'd put the dirty water in the toilet.

We keep a trash can in LO's room even though we use mostly cloth wipes, and I keep a roll of toilet paper on the changing table. When she poops, I swipe her butt with TP to get anything off (like little bits of fruit that didn't get digested...eek!), then I stick it in the diaper and throw it in the toilet with her poop. I prefer to lift it out of the diaper with TP and drop it in the toilet anyway, that way it doesn't make a big splash. I clean her with a cloth wipe once there's no solid matter on her butt, and that goes in the diaper pail. She is 13 months and fully on solids, so it's easy to get the poop out. Wipes with EBF poop can go straight in the diaper pail. Transitional poops (gooey from some solids) are a nightmare!
