@Hypatia: I saw this color palette guide on pinterest and it looka your dress is close to the green in "option 4" in that case I would go for something more coral/pink for the girls

@Hypatia: I love your dress and that gray sweater for your husband. The girls could repeat his gray with tights. The Azalea dress with darker gray, so it’s not matchy-matchy. Primary’s Slate Gray is similar to the dark gray from Mrs. Bell’s chart. Will your daughters have accessories too like a headband or necklace?

I think you could do the navy but use some accessories to make them pop- like a necklace, tights, cardigan. Or the pink would be cute. I don’t think they have to match, but it certainly is easier (for you) if they do! The azalea might be a little summery but I think it’s ok. What colors do they like? My girls love girly pastels so they are wearing pink sweaters for our fall pictures.

I think you could also incorporate a small pattern in the girls dresses our outfits- maybe patterned tights with the solid dresses or something. Or a scarf or cardigan or something.

And I like your dress and his sweater together!

ETA: you could do gray cable knit tights for the girls to bring in the gray and some texture. The only thing right now is all your dresses are a flat smooth texture so I think cable knit or layers would be good.

I think you should try to mix in some patterns - a bunch of different solid outfits will match, but not coordinate (if that makes sense). I would recommend a plaid/gingham/tattersall shirt for your husband - something like one of these:

I was thinking along the same lines as @LBee: - pattern for one of the girl's dresses (even the same color as the solid, but different colors fine). Maybe a small ditsy floral? For DH or the girls, I would consider a warm brown or a cranberry-ish color (I don't think that's too red to compete with fall background). I would personally stay away from the Azalea color because it comes across as too spring for fall photos for me, but a dusty rose or even a muted fuschia would be beautiful.
