Jack and Lily Mary Janes. I get them on Zulily for about $20 a pair. DD's feet run small, so she should be able to wear them until she's almost four. I try and get them in every size - they fit her really well and wear fantastically - far better than Stride Rite's and See Kai Runs we have had and cheaper too!

@PinkElephant: yep Aldi the grocery store! they do special buys here on a Wednesday and Saturday and they are usually season based. Even if they don't have anything in store, ask the manager if they ever get the coats. This is what they look like

This thread is eye opening. In three years of being a parent I haven't really gotten into a groove of buying things year after year.

This is also weird but I'm pretty hardcore about keeping my kids knees covered until they can very solidly run (like 18 months). Maybe my oldest was just super clumsy? He fell allll the time and I just felt like if I didn't keep his knees covered he would destroy his legs. We live in a super hot summer climate so finding culottes or short gypsy pants was pretty tough. As a crawling infant I even had him in capri length leggings.

Just plain black leggings from Target. I am loving the Cat and Jack ones.
Honestly, My daughter grows SO slow. I am usually ready to see her in different clothes/shoes when she grows out of a size!

@FannyMae: Those are adorable, but I've never seen them at Aldi! Too bad, their prices can't be beat.

@Anagram: Does Aldi in the US ever do the special buys? it might be worth asking the store manager if they will have them. Last year when they were on sale here a whole bunch of kinder parents were lined up outside the store at opening time ready to rumble!!

@FannyMae: not sure, but I will ask the next time I pop in. There's one close to my work, and I end up getting a lot of random stuff there. Just last week, I got a set of 400 thread count cotton sheet in gray for only $30 USD. I opened them expecting Ikea grade rough sheets and they are actually super soft and 100% cotton. Pretty great.
