Feels TMI when I go into detail, but really would like some second opinions! So the past two days I have had brown tinged CM. I usually do have it periodically through cycles, but never thought about reasons before. Now when I research mid- cycle brown CM, I keep seeing posts saying it could indicate ovulation. My cycles are really long though and I'm at CD 16, and am not expecting to ovulate until CD 21-23. Any other thoughts on what would be cause? Maybe caused by sex? My body confuses me constantly!

i get this all the time and it's never when i ovulate - i also have a long cycle (on average 33 days although it's gone as long as 39) and i consistently get, around cd14 or so, brown tinged ewcm ish cm - and this is before the patch of the ewcm i get before ovulation also. Who knows??? It's a mystery to me too.

@chibee: that's exactly how it usually is for me! Wish I knew what caused it. This time though its worse, with some red. Really bummed and feeling like there is now way that this will be the lucky cycle.

I've had this before around the same time as ovulation. I have a normal 28day cycle so that might not be much help. I can't seem to get a straight answer about what it is either.

@runnerd: that's exactly what i had last cycle around cd12 - i had a lot of ewcm streaked red/brown - i had no idea what it was, then disappeared the next day. then my real ewcm came cd17-cd21!

Maybe you ovuated early this month! I am pretty sure I did too. I usually ovulate CD18-21 and I think I ovulated CD11 this month!
