In preparation for our upcoming IUI, my husband had to do a semen analysis. The doctor called and left a message with the results while I was at work and now the office is closed so I'm hoping I can get some wisdom from you guys until I can call back tomorrow since I know absolutely NOTHING about any of this!

So...apparently his sperm count is good (45.2) but his motility is low (16%) and his morphology is bad (1%). The doctor said our best bet is IVF and also said something about ICSI, but I have no idea what that is (is it the same as IVF?). Are these numbers really bad? Is it going to be really difficult/impossible to conceive with just IUI? Is there anything he can do to improve these things?

I'm primarily concerned because we're moving next month and will have new insurance and I'm not sure what, if anything, will be covered under the new insurance so this month's IUI may be our only shot at IF treatments. Anybody else have problems with motility and morphology? If so, what did you do?
