Yes Especially after getting married, you are like... well now what?!

Yes, totally understand/feel that way. We all know it isn't the only reason, haha, but yeah. After finishing up school, buying a house, the wedding...then what?! Haha. And then you get to help plan things for the next 18+ years! Yay! Even if it's school things and vacations.

I've never felt that way but I kinda know what you mean. But kids are unpredictable and they are all so different. You may have heard many parents say that all plans went out the window once the baby arrived!

I definitely felt this way! I am a major planner and very project-oriented, so when I first started learning about charting, I thought it would be fun to start doing that (as a project), even though we did not want to have a baby.

After I went off my birth control to do so, we were drunk at a wedding and impulsively decided to try to make a baby! When I sobered up the next day and started researching day care options in downtown Seattle ($1500 - $1600/month were the rates I found), just in case we were successful, I had a panic attack about how expensive they were (I had no idea!) and those two weeks until I got my period were so stressful!

I went right back on birth control and decided to just obsess over Hello Bee until were are 100% ready

(Shy raise of hand). I'm soo guilty too! But, I know nothing about babies or children, so I think all the obsessive reading and research will come in handy. Thank God for Amazon where I can buy my books without shame.

I'm also working on overcoming my overly perfectionistic nature and embracing imperfection. Kids are messy and unpredictable!
