There is a huge consignment sale in the area coming up in two weeks. Given that A is 4 weeks today, and another sale won't come up until the early fall, what should we go to look for, if anything?
I know there are some deals to be had at these sales, but I need some experienced moms for input as to what's next! Thanks

If you don't have one, an exersaucer or jumparoo is great to have between 4-7 months.

Make sure you bring a rolling suitcase/hamper something to put your clothes in.

I would look for some soft or wooden blocks.
A bumbo seat is also great to pick up used.

We have one coming up this weekend and I am super bummed I can't go! I would be looking for outdoor stuff, like a water table, freestanding slide, wheelbarrow, that kind of thing, assuming you can store them.

Which sale, @aprk? In the past I have purchased the following from Kids Exchange (which is in July):
-Exersaucer
-Bassinet
-Changing table
-Clothes, lots of clothes
-Onesies and sleepers
-Toys - blocks, mirror, rattles
-Books
-Snap n go stroller
-Furniture (bookcase, toy organizer)

The biggest thing is to know your needs - bring a list! There will be so much stuff and so many people!
I like to being an oversized tote for clothing so I can keep it on my shoulder.
I tend to grab all my potential items and then sort - the good stuff goes quick.Think about sizing - if it has been washed and dried a few times it might be a little smaller. Typically you can count on your babe being a 'size up' a 3mo old will likely be in 6mo clothing. I found it hard to judge in the beginning but now I know he outgrows a size in about 4 months. At 10mo he is in 18mo clothing.
Unless it is super cheap I stay away from the Carters stuff and go for baby gap, gymboree, IMP, etc. I did get a great deal on Carters summer rompers - $2!
I think the most bang for your buck is with the gear. We got a leap frog table for $10, little tykes swing for $12, a busy box for $15 and a Rody for $12!

My advice is that if you want any gear, to get there early (like at least 30 minutes before it opens if it's a super popular sale) and book it right over to the gear section. Things like clothes there seems to be TONS of, but the best gear gets snatched up pretty quick.
It also helped to have DH just kind of stand in one place and I could give him stuff and then run around looking for more, and then we both reviewed the stuff after. If you think there's a slim chance you want something, just take it and decide later if it's worth it.

@aprk: never been to that one, I'll have to look it up! Do they have a half price day? That's my favorite day. I would take an empty stroller, rolling garbage can or wagon with you to tote stuff. Things get heavy fast!
