I'm wondering how common they are, especially for the 2nd pregnancy. I'm 30 weeks and I've been having light, period-like contractions off and on for the past week. They aren't Braxton-Hicks and they don't have any consistentcy to them, but they are more frequent. Sometimes they are more painful than others, but it happens more when I'm relaxed.

With each of my pregnancies I got more and earlier contractions. (Like no contractions with the first/ BH with the second at like 30 weeks with the second/bh and period cramps at like 27 weeks with the third) Exactly what you are describing. My doc didn't seem concerned when I talked to her about it.

@MamaBehr: Did your doctor tell you to take it easy for a little while when you had the contractions? I'm going to call mine today, but I'm sure there's nothing I can do about it, right?

@BabyBoecksMom: yah she just said its normal. Make sure your hydrated. They would calm down a bit if I laid down, but not always. I was convinced he was coming early, but thankfully he didn't and the contractions meant nothing!
