@runsyellowlites: check out car-seat.org. They have a ton of info from certified car techs on the best carseat for pretty much any scenario. There are a ton of threads about how to fit 3 across!

@hilsy85: I've seen the site but I never thought looking for this there... or I guess if I don't find anything I can join & just ask! (like I need to join another online community.... lol)

@runsyellowlites: honestly, just from looking through the threads you'll almost definitely be able to find what you're looking for --there literally seems to be a thread/comment on every carseat and car out there!

We have a Diono Radian RXT for DD1 and would use 3 across if we had three kids.

I think the Diono Radian is marketed as a convertible that will fit three across in cars.

@runsyellowlites: we have the Diono Radian RXT. It's a great carseat, but it doesn't seem as safe (for newborns) as our Britax Chaperone. We got it bc it's narrow, steel frame, and DD can sit rear facing for much longer than other seats.

I would have skipped the infant bucket, knowing what our experience was. We hardly used the car, just for a few short trips on the weekends, and we lived on the third floor, so carrying the baby and the car seat got old fast.
