Background: we are on day 4 of daycare. He hasn't had a fever or complained of not feeling well. He came home with this rash today. It's not anywhere else.

DD had a rash like this around her mouth. We ended up at the dr after a couple weeks. Dr thought it was an allergy to something she was eating. We got a cream to help clear it up. We did a blood allergy test and it came back allergic to egg whites. We cut them out and she hasn't had the rash since. Idk if that was really the cause but seemed to help.

@ladybee: my 13 mo old got diagnosed with HFM today. He has tons of blisters inside his mouth. Does your LO have any?
Also our case has the rash in elbow folds, lower legs and diaper area but not actually on the hands and feet so keep an eye on those areas too.
I think it is too early to tell but I hope it is something simpler!

If it starts to get crusty, might be impetigo.
