Did anyone have any luck using coupons or coupon codes for uppababy vista purchase? I read that you could try to buy it through Bed Bath and Beyond and use a coupon, but that didn't work. I'd love to save a little on this pricey item!

@brady80: I see in your profile that you live in Boston... have you tried the Hingham factory?? You can buy a refurbished one for like half the price!! You can call 24 hours in advance to see what colors they have at the time.

@mrs. wagon: yes. I've been emailing and they haven't had any vistas for weeks. That is my first choice, but I'd like a back-up plan! Did you get one there?

I guess it was years ago when I was trolling for vistas like that. We are actually on our second vista-- we bought our first (a 2009 model) on a baby store website for deep discount when the 2010s came out. Then in 2010 we got picked for a photo shoot for their products and Wagon Sr. and Jr. were actually featured in their new catalog... on the cover...!! and when that came out we visited them and they offered us their friends and family discount on a new vista. We wanted to upgrade since the newer models had the upright seat positioning and better brake. We were going to buy a refurbished one but it was only a few more bucks to get a new one with the discount... and they threw in a snack tray and a few other accessories 
We sold our old one on craigslist for the same price we bought it for!

@brady80: Oh that's really good to know about the factory-- I was totally planning on just picking a day to go down and assuming they pretty much always have them (calling ahead, but not anticipating a problem besides color maybe).
I hear that sometimes Buy Buy Baby uses the coupon without a question but I haven't tried it. I also know at the beginning of this year I saw the 2012 colors all for around $100 off on Amazon and the like, but now they are all gone and it's only the new colors at full price on there.
Do either of you have any idea how often they have the bassinet available for purchase at the factory? I know it doesn't come with the Vista if you buy it at the factory but sometimes they have them for separate purchase. Maybe we will have to actually pay full price??

@Foodnerd81: they sell the bassinets for $75 and it depends on what color they have available, so it may not match the stroller that you get.

@Foodnerd81: if you are gonna try the coupon thing at buy buy baby, i wouldn't try at the one in nashua (even though it'd save you on tax), they are sticklers for fine print, they even told me over the phone i could use my BBB credit & gift card there, then when i went to pay refused, i got mad & they ended up accepting it, but only because i had been up 3 times trying to buy something. they're great, but def follow the restrictions!
