For those that use powdered formula. When you started introducing cow's milk did you use milk in lieu of water? Or did you mix the powder plus water then add cow's milk?

I just offered the cows milk seperately and not mixed in with formula

Both of my nephews were on powdered formula, and cow's milk was introduced the same way as it is with BF kids. They still got regular formula bottles, but got a sippy of water or milk with meals. They both were completely weaned off of formula at 12 months, and only drinking water & milk.

I mixed the formula with water and then added the cows milk.
Eta: we tried to offer just cows milk in a sippy cup but he absolutely refused it.

I supplement with formula and would just rather mix the cow's milk in with the breast milk and formula bottles. Trying to sneak it in on her!

@regberadaisy: You're welcome! Over 3-4 weeks we slowly added more milk and less formula until he was on milk only. It was a pretty smooth transition!
