It's been way too many years now for me to remember since my wedding, but has C&B always charged for shipping gift registry items?
I'm about to place an order, but the shipping is almost $30?! I'm trying to use a coupon code, but no code for free shipping. Is it free to ship if you order in-store? Trying to decide whether the coupon code is worth it now, or if I should just buy a gift card.

Their shipping pricing structure has been undergoing a lot of changes (DH works for them). It depends on the item--certain ones are free.

I think they have always charged for registry items, although I think I've paid around 15 - 20 to ship. Coincidentally, I just ordered and shipped a C & B registry item to a friend today and picked an item that offered a free shipping promo! It was a $150 food processor, so not sure how they decide what gets charged for shipping or not.

@shopaholic: For a while they had an awesome policy where all registry shipping was $5 for anything you bought at the same time. My sis shipped an entire bridal shower's worth of gifts home through them for $5! Sounds like they don't do that anymore

Dang that is expensive! Ya I would totally go with a gift card. Doesn't seem worth it to pay so much for shipping IMHO when they could walk into a store and just bring it home (I'm assuming you're not buying furniture 
).
