Has anyone done the crayon art on a canvas that has been on Pinterest for ages? Where you glue crayons to a canvas and melt with a blow dryer?
I have two spare canvases laying around and I'd love to try it this weekend with my step kids. Any tips or good tutorials you followed?

My MIL is an art teacher for younger elementary students and did it with her them. I remember that she said it took absolutely forever with a hair dryer, but she wasn't comfortable giving them anything hotter than that to work with. She said a heat gun would be much more effective. In any case, they turned out super cute, which was good because they were being sold in a school auction fundraiser.

@artbee: I totally will! I think even if it is a disaster it will entertain the kiddos for awhile. My stepson especially will enjoy getting to melt stuff!
