So I'm sitting in my office crying my face off because the house I wanted was sold to someone else! I'm being ridiculous -- is this pregnancy hormones? I feel like we'll never find a house.

There's nothing wrong with feeling heartbroken over a house that you've had your heart set on. It's a long process in finding your ideal home, and to see if "given away" is rough. I hope something even better comes along your way that satisifies all your house requirements!!

Not silly at all! My DH and I had our heart set on a house, but then like you someone bought it! We were both devestated! Buuuut about a week later we found an even better house, bigger and lower price, and closer to our works. One will come your way! Don't worry!

@MrsBrewer: @Alivoo01: Thanks. I'm trying to make myself feel better so I don't just automatically hate everything else we see!

I cried over this very thing last week! I don’t think it’s silly at all! When you make an offer on a house and have time to dream about it being yours it’s SO easy to become attached and it really feels like a loss when you don’t get it. Totally understandable. (Unless I’m just having crazy pregnancy hormones too so what I think is normal actually is just me being overly emotional ;))

Nothing wrong with feeling that emotion at all! Making an offer on a house is a heart-wrenching decision in itself, whether or not one gets the home in the end. So much energy and excitement wrapped up into the process that it's only natural (pregnant or not) to feel a huge let down if it doesn't turn out the way we want it to.
We just went through this last month and it was no fun. I started to wonder if we even really wanted to buy a house! I considered just stopping the whole process... we're now waiting for a closing date on the home for which we won a bid! Still nervous that it might not work out but feeling hopeful.

girl I've totally been there. We were pregnant and put in at least five offers in one year, and didn't get ANY of them. Once I hit 30 weeks we gave up and rented. I cried all the time because we didn't have a house.

I would've cried if someone else had gotten this house. And it was kind of lucky - I know that two of my husband's coworkers also looked at it, one on the same day!

Nope. When I was buying my house, I cried because it seemed like every house I found was messed up! I finally found one the inspector said was good and I finally got my house...9 months after starting the search.
It's coming and you'll forget all about this!
