Has anyone had a custom silhouette made of their little one? If so, did it look like them? Our local toy store had a silhouette artist in today, and we'd made an appointment a few weeks ago for LO to have her portrait made. I'm disappointed in how it came out - it doesn't even look like the same head shape to me - but I don't want to be one of "those" moms who complains about how it didn't capture my kid's essence or whatever, ha. Are my expectations too high, or has anyone else had a similar experience?

I'm super lucky because we have access to some of the best silhouette artists-- the ones who work on Main Street in Disneyland! I would complain if it doesn't look like LO at all. How old? I think sometimes it's hard to get an accurate silhouette of an infant since they're always moving and they all kind of look the same.

My mom had silhouettes of us done as kids (I think I was 9? and my sisters 3?) and they actually look quite a bit like us. That blows that yours didn't turn out nice

@HabesBabe: @Bookworm: She's definitely little (6 months), but he had infants in his sample work online. My inlaws have silhouettes of themselves as infants, so I was thinking it'd be a cute gift to give a "matching" one of her.
@lil owl: That's so sweet of you! I think I'm going to go ahead and email him and see if he'll take another shot. Maybe he'll be willing to, and if he thinks I'm crazy, oh well!
