The procedure went fine but I'm surprised to find that the recovery looks more like postpartum more than I expected....difficulty peeling, BM, etc. I even got the same meds!
I know that sounds like no duh, but this is my first time.
On the other hand, getting an IV from the surgery team was a million times better than from the L&D folks: novocaine numbing shot was amazing!

I'm sorry. I agree it's like adding insult to injury. I had one in July and it was not at all fun. The good news is that the efefcts wear off MUCH faster than with childbirth.

@Adira: @septca: @photojane: thanks y'all! I just had to vent . At least now I can commiserate with others....before this I was totally ignorant!
At the pharmacist today I tried to sit down in the waiting area and just plopped myself on this hard chair. Lol yikes! Bush league. Never again.
I think on the whole I just didn't realize what this was like. Of course in terms of severity it isn't as bad as my episiotomy but considering I also had a healthy baby in my arms during that...well suffice to say my heart goes out to those women whose first experience of birth is through the miscarriage process. So effing unfair.

Sorry you had to go through that... I've been there and had the the most intense cramping of my life which thankfully was short-lived. Hope you feel better quickly!

The whole situation sucks so bad and the post period is weirdly similar to pregnancy (except, you know, suckier).
At the very least, treat yourself to some sushi or ice cream or something today

I'm so sorry. The whole thing does suck quite a lot.
I agree with@blackbird: have some wine or sushi when you feel up to it. And iron pills made me feel a million times better, too

Yeah they do. I felt better within 24 hours though ([physically). but for me, it also set off an emotional rollercoaster for a few weeks. I definitely indulged in some wine and sushi more than once in the week after the procedure.

Hope you are well on the road to recovery now. I've had 2 and my bleeding was different both times. It does eventually stop. I actually just had my first normal cycle last month so there is hope of getting back to normal.
