We have light wood in our condo and dark in our apt.
I like how dark looks better, but hate how I can see lint, crumbs, dirtiness so easily on our dark floors.
Which do you prefer?

I like light cherry Brazilian hardwood floors. I think I have the same dark hardwood floors that you have (seen on IG haha) and I have to vacuum, steam mop and vacuum again daily! I see absolutely everything. On the plus side, I have really clean floors.
Here's the color I like, but I think this might be a manufactured hardwood floor. I do kind of like the way manufactured hardwood floors have a pretty blend of colors.

We have man. hardwood and I love them. Seriously, every time I sweep, I am like, where did all this dirt come from because I can't see it until its in a pile.

I didn't vote cause I like both. Love the dark we have in the condo, but it shows everything a little dust and crumb. And it blends too much with the dark furniture. The new house has lighter floors, so we will see how I like those once we get moved in.

Although I prefer the look of dark we have a blonde wood in our house. I can't stand how dark shows dirt soooo quickly. I'm too lazy to have dark wood floors : )

I LOVE dark hardwood floors despite dirt and all things gross show up very clearly on them.

I put light but here is why.
I have mainly light but some dark. I LOVE how the dark looks hands down. But HATE how it shows EVERYTHING, and with having dogs and cats....my lighter colored floors look better longer. Seriously I do the floor and with dogs...30 mins later its like you cant tell I did them at all.

Love the look of dark but we have two light colored highly shedding small dogs. So no choice but to choose light or medium. Right now ours is a honey/cherry color and I like it ok.

Ours our dark! While they are beautiful, they were not well thought out. We have a husky so she sheds uncontrollably. We got scratch resistant floors, so we're covered there but I sweep every day to keep them decent.

I picked dark wood. We currently have light floors but I really want dark!!!

We have light wood in outlining cherry wood in our downstairs. So some of the inset rooms (open concept house) have cherry, but they are surrounded by light wood. It's pretty. I want dark wood for my office and bedroom though!

I like how dark looks but it is a bitch to keep clean. I prefer lighter oak floors.
ETA we have dark laminate.
